The multi-coat system is a high-performance external wall insulation system protected by meshcloth reinforced polymer renders.

It consists of 2-4mm base coat following a layer of alkaline resistant reinforcing mesh and 2-4mm second layer of base coat. Once the base coat is dry then a layer of primer should be applied and once the primer is touch dry the coloured texture coat can be applied. This method of finish benefits from being “self-cleaning”, flexible and crack-resistant but it is more time consuming compared to the one-coat system.

Mineral one-coat system is a through-coloured rendering system that offers a specially formulated mineral based render,  forming part of External Walling Insulation System, which can be hand or machine applied directly to all major insulation types. Because it is a one-coat system, no waiting for a base coat to dry is necessary and the material can be applied by spray render pump, making the application economical and rapid. Fibre mesh reinforcement is applied between wet passes and the material is finished to a scraped texture the following day. Scaffold hire costs are significantly reduced and the disruption to the homeowner is minimised. The resulting finish is maintenance-free and available in a wide range of colours and textures.
